I saw that they had some of the fastest times during testing. Wouldn't it be nice if they were competitive again, after all these years out in the cold.
One thing that is never in doubt is the teams commitment. I think the F1 rules and regulations for cars specifications have given a lot of teams a bit of a back-hand. Personally I love the technology that F1 brings, however it shouldn't be developed that only certain teams that fluke the changes will perform better than others. Kudos to Merc and Ferrari who seem to have it down pat, however it's not good for the series. I think the advancements some times are just too much for certain teams to handle. McLaren will be back one day for sure, they have too much pride and passion to lose...
