Hi all, long time fan of Ferrari’s since childhood here and just this week was turned on the possibility of finding a Mondial for a first Ferrari. I love the coupes, but certainly not opposed to the cabriolets. Found this car on autotrader and called on it. The gentlemen was busy but we are planning to speak tomorrow. Does anyone know this car or anything about it? Pics and VIN in the ad.

I don't know anything about this specific car except that it's been for sale for several months. The mileage and less than stellar pictures in the ad may be scaring people away...

At a glance, it is a desirable 3.2 model, with a single owner history, that is a good start. Price seems a bit low so probably has some higher miles and/or deferred maintenance. Worth a further look I would think.

I wonder about the pictures as well. It’s hart to tell the condition of the paint in them. Almost looks as though it is a little oxidized or faded, but all the picture look a little flat so I can’t really be sure. Were these cars clear coated back in 86? I’m guessing no, but this is all new territory for me. Thanks for your thoughts.

That’s what I first thought too, but the ad states it has all its scheduled maintenance and even a recent major. Then again, “recent” can be subjective. Thanks For your thoughts.

I inquired about the car a while back and the owner stated that it had some rust that he was going to get fixed. Also the photos show evidence of outside storage, and he admitted to keeping it under a cover, but near the pacific that means there is definitely rust lurking. I would inspect in person.
