Hello All! Just picked up this black beauty and coming from a Nissan GT-R R35. The manufacturing year is the same in 2008 but the temptation to own a Ferrari is too hard to resist! Everything is stock including the radio and comes equipped with carbon interior trim and carbon ceramic brakes. Am looking for a nice set of Scuderia wheels to complete the look. Have a full detail and some audio enhancements and OEM parts refresh coming soon. After our Chinese New Year holidays, since every shop is closed during this time glad to be a member here and get more knowledge about these beasts from fellow members!

    Congratulations @DbkTommy! that is a beautiful F430!

Welcome! any first impressions of the F430 as compared to the GT-R.

Keep an eye on the Ferrari parts and collectibles forum, scud wheels come up occasionally if you're not in a rush.

Thanks so much @colorfull ! Yea I’m not in a rush to get the scud wheels I guess can wait until a nice set floats around

To be honest the GT-R is a very very nice car. It is super fast and being in the same year as the f430 it comes way more equipped technologically compared to the Ferrari. The GT-R has Bluetooth, digital gauges display, keyless entry/go just to name some. But the real problem is the gearbox of these beasts. Just a matter of time until it needs a new one or a complete rebuild and that is super pricey $$ but the adrenaline rush you get from hearing the Ferrari engine roar is unlike anything else I had before even though I had many other nice cars before (BMW M6, Porsche 997s and some JDM’s). Still trying to soak it all in with this and I’m surprised that the stock suspension is quite comfortable whereas the GT-R’s stock suspension can be really quite bumpy like a roller coaster ride. The wifey approves of this new purchase a lot more than the previous one hahaha hope I can get a lot more knowledge from other fellow members here

Thank you for sharing that @DbkTommy , and I'm sure you'll find lots of great stuff on FCHAT, I know I always do.

Funnily enough, my wife said the same thing about how much more comfortable she finds the F430 than my previous ride (93 NSX).

    See you around the forum!

Congrats. I was born in HK and thus the city is always in my heart. Jealous of all those wonderful tunnels there.
