Hi to all! Name is Wilfrido. Just joined your auto club as you can never have enough track days. or racing buddies. I'm registered as GTR-WTX in other DFW forums, but decided it was time to shift the user name as I have a Ferrari in mind as future next car. I also love F1. Trying to get my little daughter into it (she's barely 22 months old, but you cannot start too young). While I don't cheer for RBR, I gotta say that the scuderia has been disappointing these past couple of seasons. McLaren was supposed to step up, only to fail even worse. Still have faith in both, but my hopes is that Ferrari should have a great formula with Kimi and maybe McLaren+Honda will reemerge in 2015... Ferrari-wise, I do have my very own CX-70 bike in my garage Seriously speaking and regarding *automobili* del cavallino rampante, I've had the fortune to play around a relative's 355 F1 a couple of years ago. More recent (and thus the reason to join the forum) was a good test drive experience in Denver of a 458. Took it to mountain pass on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. 65F. twisty roads, great soundtrack. So now I want one. Might take me a couple of years still, but I'll work towards it. I know some of you already, from some of the events (track, C&C, runs) we participate. Look forward to getting to know more this year and coming together to those events where you don't mind other brands coming with. (Will be interested in joining the toy run and maybe some F1 watching parties, for example) Currently my DD is an Audi Q5, and my other car is a 750HP 2013 Nissan GT-R. PS. Sorry for the long intro!
My office is in Las Colinas, I'm close to you! Watch for our next Insta-Lunch! We usually do it at Chammps or The Ranch at McArthur and 114.
thank you all! @Steve: yet another place for me to bug you @jimpo1& chewys5: look forward to meet you guys at lunch. @rob: appreciated, good site you have here, simple, yet entertaining to read and see the pics!
Thanks for the invite! However, I'll be at the beach for thanksgiving week. Will be back the following week. Will watch the race from a sunny 85F weather. I will be at the Christmas toy run, so I hope to meet a bunch of members there. Will also look forward to meet up for next F1 season as well. I hope it'll be more competitive than this one. Look forward to Kimi wearing (and driving) red again.
85 degree weather? I forgot what that feels like. I also forgot what circulation feels like. Well have a good time and we will see you at the toy run. Safe travels.
