Hi all, I was told about this forum by a client of mine and figured I'd join and check it out. Quick intro... I'm an automotive detailer in the Chicago area and a big fan of Ferrari. I also have a Bachelor's in Architecture and plan on getting my license in the next 3-5 years. Currently I own an older BMW 325i and a 2009 Yamaha R6s (will post some pics of it in the motorcycle forum). Soon to be added to the stable will be either a 911 or a 99 M3. I owned a 99 M3 before but sold it to invest into my detailing business at the time. Favorite Ferrari would have to be the Testarossa as it's one I always loved as a child and it started the year I was born (I think.. 1984). Never owned a Ferrari and never drove the Testarossa so I might not even like it as a car to drive, but looks wise it's always been a favorite. Well that's my short intro... hope to meet some of the great folks on here and make it out to some open to non-member meets. Cheers, Ivan
Welcome. Can you give me some more details on your detailing business/background? You can PM me if that is better. Thanks, Jack
Welcome Ivan. Keep an eye on this forum for local activities for the Ferrari clubs (Ferrari Owners Club and Ferrari Club of America). Perhaps you can show up to some of the events and get a few up close looks at the cars.
Thanks Jack. I would hate to spam/advertise so I'll shoot you a PM shortly. Thanks Johnny. I'll definitely keep an eye out for local events and try to attend a few. So far the closest to an exotic meet/event I've attended has been Supercar Saturdays, which I try to attend every month.
I had Ivan out to my house this past weekend to work on my 2 DD's. He did and assume job on both cars. They look better than when I got them. I highly recommend him and he is extremely polite and reasonably priced. My 458 just came in today (sorry no pics yet as Dan is doing a photo shoot on Sunday and he is the best) and Ivan will be taking care of my 458. You will be very pleased with his work. Clockem.
Thanks. Hi Gary. Thanks for the kind words as well as the info on this forum. Seems like a great place to visit. I'm really looking forward to finally seeing the Ferrari soon.
I detail all cars but most of my clients are BMW and Porsche owners. Got started with BMW clubs in the area so it stuck .
