    Hello All,
New to the board and I wish I started checking this forum three years ago when I first got my F355 Spider! Due to lack of garage space, I contemplated selling the car a few times in the past two years but every time after I washed or cleaned the car and stared at it, I just couldn't take my eyes off of it. So now I've decided to keep the car a quite a while and there are a few things I'm going to do to the car after reading all the helpful posts in this forun (thanks guys):
    1. 360 or Imola steering swap
    2. carbon fiber switch panel upgrade
    3. after knowing 75% of the owners don't have valve guilde prolbems (I'm not going to worry about this until my next major service - done the 1st 30K 2 years ago at 5000 miles, car is an '95)
    4. right rear shock is leaking so insteading of paying my dealer for $3000 to have a pair installed, I'm getting them serviced

I do have a couple of questions and wonder if anyone can pitch in:
    1. How do I jack the car up and then put jack stands on both sides when I take off the rear shocks to have them send in for service?
    2. Who does good restoration work in the Greater Los Angeles area on the seats, especially the seat cushions are showing signs of wear and aging.

Sorry for the long post and I appreciate any comments.

    Bruce

Welcome to Fchat Bruce. Glad to hear you are keeping your 355. ;)
To jack the car up, I put the trolley jack under the engine cradle rear, near the pumpkin and jack the car from there. I put the stands on each side of the engine cradle. That is the easiest and safest way I put my 348 on stands.
I cant help you with the seat repair as I dont know any workshops in LA sorry. ;) Good luck. There is a wealth of information here and a great bunch of guys for you to learn from. Cheers. :)

There are jack points under the car--2 towards the front and 2 towards the rear--Look under the car and you will see them, look like some pinch weld seams
