    I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Sam, and I recently purchased a 1986 328 GTS (Medio Blu Metallico with black interior.) It is my first Ferrari -- so I'm quite excited. I've owned many sports cars -- mostly 30+ year old cars, including Corvettes, Porsches, Triumphs. I also currently have a C5 Corvette, 1960 Triumph TR3 and some other less interesting vehicles (Miata.)

    When I'm not out driving, I write a weekly collector car column called "Sound Classics." The column appears in the Olympia, WA newspaper The Olympian. I've also written for the Classic Car and the LeMay Museum's Open Road publication.

    I've been a long time member of both the Corvetteforum and the British Car Forum. I look forward to exchanging info here on the Ferrari Chat.

    Welcome, 328s are a blast and one of the most reliable Ferraris ever made and rprobably one of the least expensive in running costs as well.

    My dad bought a TR3 in the 60s brand new in light blue, he really loved it until it blew its tranny then sold it.

    Too bad you don't also own the P-51! Actually, for that photo, it would have been more appropriate if your Triumph had been a Spitfire......:D

    Pretty 328! I had one the same exterior color, but the interior was black and creama (spelling?). The seats and dash were black, but the rest of the interior was cream colored leather which I am told was very unusual. I miss that car but have traded up to a 355. Best of luck with yours, mine was a pleasure to own.

    Interestingly, my 328 also was originally black with Creme seats. The previous owner had the seats and center console professionally retrimmed in leather. I wonder if most Medio Blu cars had that combo? I do like it in all black, though.

    The car is a December 1986 build. 61613 is the build sequence number.

    I think I'm going to take it up to the SOVREN vintage races at Seattle International Raceway tomorrow. (I usually go on the Saturday, but I just got back from a week-long cruise to Alaska, so I missed today.) I'm hoping to catch a parade lap around the track.

    By the way -- I'm happy to buy the pizza!
