    Dear Colleagues

We are delighted to announce that the facelift SL will have its UK launch in Spring 2008 (official on-sale date to be confirmed) after being revealed at the Geneva Motor show in March 2008.

The many exterior changes to the facelift SL aim to build on the powerful appearance of the current model and will feature a completely redesigned front end with new headlights, front bumper and grill. These visual enhancements continue along the newly designed bonnet, wing mirrors and side fins towards the rear elements of the SL which receives new designs for the rear bumper and tailpipes.

To complement these exterior visual enhancements the facelift will see a choice of new wheel designs and new paint colours as well as increased differentiation for the V12 models. The look and feel of the interior is also enhanced by the addition of new leather and wood trim options, a new steering wheel design, and a new generation telematics system.

The powerful image created by the facelift of the SL-Class is supported by the addition of a more powerful engine line up that will include the exciting new SL63 AMG, and the SL350 sports engine with improved power and engine note. Alongside these improvements in power the range will see a reduction in CO2 emissions and improved fuel efficiency.

RHD production of the facelift SL will commence in March 2008 ready for its anticipated launch in the Spring. The specification deadline and the deadline for creating commission numbers for March production (which will have the model year 809 code) will be the 7th January 2008. (may be subject to change)

To assist you with your ordering process for these allocations we are pleased to release a preliminary price list showing the expected specification and options for this facelift. I like the old one more. I think I would go buy an SLK over the new SL...Mercedes has been kind of hit and miss with styling IMO.

What's with the headrests, which look to have fans build into them. Maybe with them on the car functions as a swamp buggy.

Yeah, the current one looked a lot nicer

They're keeping this design 'till 2010 and then it will have a COMPLETE restyling/overhaul (design, interior, engine etc etc)
