Ferrari doesn't usually mess up with engines. It will be a great power plant just missing 6 cylinders regardless of the angle.

Right - cross-plane (90 deg) was not the correct terminology. I intended by that "not flat-plane", "out-of-plane", or 120 deg throws - with or without offset pins.

Regarding the flat-plane crank for a V6, this would be as feasible as a cross-plane, that is to say, not feasible. And for no obvious benefit, unlike on a V8.

An advantage of a flat plane crank is the even timing of the exhaust gas pulses. With a turbo, the smoother exhaust flow results in better turbo performance.

The Ferrari Formula 1 car uses a 90 degree bank with a single turbo (?). What is the crank geometry?

    The 246 Dino was a NA 6 cylinder. Does anyone know the bank angle ( I don’t think it was a 90, maybe 65 or 68 ?)

    and the crank geometry?

Sorry if this was already discussed

What will be interesting is the pricing. Lower than the SF90 higher than the F8. More powerful than the F8 and faster.

But hold on there is also a Portofino coupe being released with the Portofino engine. Guess they will use the F8 engine , detuned because it needs the GPF.

Then this car is to be priced what ? Has to be lower than the F8 actually lower than the Portofino as coupes are always cheaper than convertibles.

TOO MANY BLOODY MODELS !!!!!! .........This is the only thing we are certain of !!

My guess the V6 hybrid will sit slightly higher than the current F8 price (close to Pista price)and Portofino coupe will slot in at around the current F8 price.

Too many models and shorter life cycle equals more depreciation.

I believe the Dino engine is a 65 degree with a 6 pin crank.

Wikipedia (for what it's worth) mentions a 65 degree engine with a crankshaft featuring four main bearings.

The leaf blower is louder than the car's engine - and probably has more emissions as well. When will they mandate GPF installation on leaf blowers.

It can be both 3 and 6 pin with 4 mains.
My guess is that if they had wanted a 3 pin, they would have made it a 60 degree, not a 65. Would make it lighter and an even-fire engine.

Any news about a additional car that should be released this year? Is it the V6 we are talking about here?

No. Last car this year is the Porto Coupé. It will launch in Rome on the 14th.

    LB is next year.

Isn't LB rather 2021? if it is to replace the F8 (as is assumed), unveiling it in 2020 would lead to a very short run for the F8.

No idea whether it will use the exact same setup, but it will be based on that V8 yes. My guess is that it will be the same power numbers.

Wow, so many will have yet to receive their F8s before the reveal of the LB. Another reason I will now pass on new Fcars and explore the used market.

Yes!!!! The only thing is that it doesnt have a manual option. I've been looking at 4Cs.
I also like the 911 Carrera S air cooled.

Part from the price being off, what about a Singer? The power is there, the weight is low, and the build quality is above and beyond. They can truly take a beating.

next maserati alfieri will have a v6 , a plug in v6 and later it may get a full ev option. And what about the lb. Will it only offered with a hybrid v6? or there'll be also a non-hybrid version.? Recently both versions of test-mules were spotted testing in italy.
