i think the miura will be built, it will be great from the business/money making point of view. I doubt they will make a official convertible version, may be some coach builder can build a few special edition perhaps?

I like it too and think it's a winner. Just don't make too many or too fast.

Your opinion is in the vast minority, out of 100+ actual L-car owners polled on this very topic with the results passed along to Lamborghini's people after the private unveiling.

Good riddance too. We need another "retro" exotic like we need a fifth wheel. Innovate, don't emulate, particularly at this price point.

alot of products going retro these days, to relive old times? anyway lambo will sell out targa or no targa and i would like to see how lambo would "modernize" tha car.

The problem with that poll was it was under the presumption the car was being sold at $700K as that was the initial story published in magazines. Now that the rumor is maybe in the $250-275K range, plus it would be in addition to the Super Murci GT supposedly every Lambo owner wants, I think the poll results would very different. Not every car that Lambo produces has to be hardcore. If they produce the Miura as a natural competitor in price and power to the F599GTB, I'd take the Miura everytime.

It surprising that we have all these Murci's available on the market, yet there seems to be tons of owners willing to spend $400K plus for a Murci GT (Enzo beater)

Why do the Lambos stands at motor shows always suck ? Always that dull black floor with the cars cramped.

Audi surely could spend a bit more and get them a nice italian looking stand..

This poll was conducted using information obtained at the unveiling, i.e., $250k.

It's just not the direction the majority wishes the company to go. Lamborghini needs to alwasy set the tone, not dredge up older nostalgic themes.

It's beautiful, but it doesn't really fit in with their current design direction. Interesting as an exercise, I can't imagine a good case for building it.

i still think the car will likely be produced but not at the 700k originally rumoured. An article on autoexpress's site says the car if produced, it will likely be based on Gallardo's platform complete with a V10 engine, and will be limited to just 400units. Guess we can only wait and see.

The Murcielago has a lot of details straight from the Countach on it so its not 100% new

The Miura is so gorgeous I think its just a timeless design, like the E type

Okay, people, I just saw the Miura in the flesh at the Detroit auto show. I must say, I am very disappointed in it. I am a huge fan of the original Miura, and was excited to learn of this new version of it. However, seeing it in the flesh, it is too big. The proportions are way off, and the design does not work on a car that size.

This car will fail, mark my words.
