You don't have to be subscribed to vote. You don't have to own a Ferrari to vote. You don't even have to be Canadian, just that you are active in the Canadian section. I will validate the results.

I will also allow you to vote for multiple mods. We will probably activate two mods from the results, but you can vote for everyone if you think they are all qualified.

I haven't done much research on these volunteers, so it is possible I will veto a selection if I don't think they meet the basic requirements of being active, level headed, and long time user. So far I believe everyone meets the requirements.

    Voting will last 3 days.

    Thanks,
    rob

Also, candidates may post a small campaign speech. :) Warning, any flaming may prove you aren't level-headed. :D

Speaking as a frost-bitten Canadian....I wouldn't mind a little bit of good natured flaming....keeps us warm during those long, cold Canadian winters....

The funny thing is, we're having our actual federal elections today as well......Coincidence?...I think not!

Well I guess I will start my little spin.

First off, thanks to all of you that feel I would be a benefit to you on this site.
I have met some very wonderful people on this site that add value not only to this site but to the enjoyment of my life and the life of others.

As a potential mod for this site I look forward to the continued growth of enjoyment for everyone, new and old. I also look forward to many more discussions of passion that we all seem to have in common and look forward to the growth of knowledge we can attain from this site.

As a viewer and contributor of posts on this site I believe we can continue our freindship(s) and make new freinds that share the same passion.

If there is one major focus that I would not tolerate on our site it would be any type of "racism" or negative slander towards culture, race or religion.

Aside from this, I look forward to growing with you and others on this site and the continued growth of members to help expand our discussions.

I also hope to meet some of our members in the West, and East for the coming year as I am making an effort to go on vaction this summer to both sides of Canada.

In case, I do not get the role, I want to personally thank everyone that has voted for me, and the trust they have in my abilities to try and make this site more enjoyable.

    Thank you !

    Thanks for the votes guys!

Basicly all I want to do is make the Canadian section a friendly place for everybody to come together. I really like the fact that we as a group have planed events which have been great!

I will do my best to enforce the rules of the board and trolls will be delt with, after a good amount of fun has been had by all of course, but within limits.

The tone of the threads in this section are usually in good humor and fun..but they do tend to get off topic quite often. I will try to keep most threads on target and divert the other off topic comments to a more general thread.

Overall we really don't have that many issues over here. The main issue as of late, is unsponsored advertising by those who do not conrtibute to the board. Helping people out when looking for a specific car or product is one thing. But trying to get out of the blue sales, without having a history on the board will be delt with quickly.

People like Steve Mamman who contribute to the board and has excellent feed back from many members in the US areas of the board, is a good example of sombody just trying to put a person in their dream car. James started out being a troll but slowly has become a knowen member of the group. KDS is another valuable contributor to the board..and of course the "ghost himself..Vasco!!;) All these guys should have a bit of room to plug a few things IF ASKED IN BY ANOTHER USER.

Overall I think the Canada section is a well behaved group of folks who are all here to share in the passion that is Ferrari. We just need a person to keep on top of things that go agaisnt the rules and to keep the topics on track. And I hope to be able to help out!!!

    Hi there.

I've got very little to add other than I lurk much and post little, unless I have something to add to the community.

One thing I did in fact add, in the past, was starting the Alberta thread. With close to 30,000 hits in it in a relatively short amount of time, and given the population of Alberta when compared to that in Ontario, I feel that it was a good contribution and helped bring the community together.

Good luck to everyone, especially me.

i haven't been on the site long enough to know who i shoulda voted for...(i'm just gonna use screen names cuz i dont know everyones name yet), i originally voted for Big Red but then i thought about Classic Ferrari, cuz i usually see them pretty active in the canada section...but then i thought about Dbworld4k and Tbakowsky and all their posts....THEN i saw J. Grande, ToddB, and Bernardo66 and from my knowledge they're all pretty active post-ers too and would do great as a mod...and the only one left was Glenn and as i was seeing their names, i was clicking on each of them, and ended up voting for everyone...lol..

Sorry...it really was a mistake and i realized i can't vote again...but just for the record, atleast i didnt' try eating the ballot...lol

    Later,

Ok, I am in no shape to say anything at the momment. I just got in from an upsetting (but I'll admit) positive election.

First thing I did was vote for my good friend (who I havent had the pleasure of meeting yet) Big_Red as promised. Could it be the pints talking? Maybe....but all I know is that he is one hell of a guy and I love busting his balls.

Looks like some of the members of our group are trying to register and vote for me.

While I appreciate the support and also the traffic to FChat, I also think how Rob has it configured is more equitable for everyone. That is, only previously registered members that have been active in this forum are eligible. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
