Album of pictures of the Fiotti Modelos Alfa 33 TT12 (actually the last kit to be made under the Two Cats Modelos brand) on https://www.facebook.com/fiottimodelos/photos/?tab=album&album_id=327464747593533
Here are 315S gearbox/suspension and fuel tank shots. Photos shot at Sebring in 1957. The kit is not 100% correct for any car as they simplified the differential, but it is safe to now say it is a 315/335S. The 250 TR has a solid rear axle and front engine mounted gearbox. #0646 is stamped on the fuel tank. We know what happened to that car two months later Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

A few more chassis/engine drawings for the Ferrari 315/335S Hiro 1/12th kit. This is my favorite prototype race Ferrari, although the P3 takes a close second mainly because the 315/335 was so advanced for it's time. #0674 or #0684 are very different and I think #0674 is better looking. I wonder if they will do several bodies. The details look alot better on these updates but not 100% correct. I understand the design is finalized so I hope they mapped the right car and used vintage 1957 photos!! Also for a smaller version model kit of this car stay tuned.................... Why are the axles so wrong? Should be rubber boots and instead there is this strange bolt arrangement. And gearbox is too simplified IMO ... makes you wonder what else has been compromised. Hope it's cheap. Pete
Hey Pete, calm down, all parts modeled after stuff from Piper. Should be perfect Those are 3D digital print drawings, so not all details present. Marcia bit was lulz.
Well he can announce it now. This model has been in the planning stages for 6 months. Hiro announcing their 1/12th model pushed it forward. This is one of the "red" cars he is making. He also is releasing the Alfa 2.3 Lemans 1934 Brianza full kit also in 1/24th scale as we speak. FPPM 1/24 kit with open bonnet and engine details.FERRARI 315S 1957 Mille Miglia winner with Taruffi. Next model to be released very soon. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
More chassis and body photos of the 1/12th Hiro Ferrari 315/335S. The body drawing is of #0674 as it was at Lemans 1957. It was a DNF at that race. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
does anyone ever have any finished pictures of the 1/12 Hiro kits? I'm thinking of buying a 917 kit, but would like to see a fully completed - painted model?
Here are a bunch of galleries of built Hiro kits. Several of the builders shown are on this forum. Top quality kit's that build into very nice models. A lot of parts so be prepared for a pretty big job. Customer?s Gallery » MFH
In addition to the MFH customer galleries here is a completed project from F1M: View topic - Model Factory Hiro 1/12 Porsche 917 LH FINISHED! | F1M.com The work in progress from the link above: View topic - Model Factory Hiro 1/12 Porsche 917 LH | F1M.com Another work in progress: View topic - MFH 1/12 Porsche 917k | F1M.com
I just ordered a 1/12 917K, the 1970 LM winner. Someone already posted some good links to a WIP and finished models. This is my first MFH kit
Have you thought about a magnetic polisher to finish all of those lovely white metal parts? Not cheap and certainly not essential but it will speed up the process quite a bit.
I have heard of these types of techniques. Being an "old School" builder I don't see how it could remove the casting seams...those are the main time killer. The polishing part is easy to do by hand.
Yes - mold lines and so on are not going away in a magnetic polisher but they do impart a lovely finish even in all the nooks and crannies. Nothing hard about finishing by hand - but the time saving can be very big with the polisher.

Here are the photos from that link.....#0674 and #0684 drawings look really good. What an amazing car design. I remember hearing #0684 at Laguna Seca in 2004 howling by the garages. And #0674 looks like a 500TRC made even better!! Bottom:#0674 at Chicago O'Hare airport after coming back to America from Europe in May 2016. I understand it is at Motion Productions now for a refresh. I would caution you, that if you are used to building plastic kits there is a lot more work that goes into building a MFH kit. They make beautiful builds, but they are not as easy as Tamiya, Fujimi, etc.
+1 what pawl said; I'm building the MFH Lotus 79 for two years now; there are over 1,0000 rivets in the chassis tub and I have used all the profanity words I know, plus made up some new ones:

Its like any other change in materials. Just take time doing proper dry fitting and think in advance.
