I just finished the DeAgostini "Walter Wolf" Countach model. 1/8 scale. Sheesh, this thing is heavy. Nearly 15lbs. Fit and finish of all the parts were really nice. Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login
For some odd reason when I am posting from my iPad it only allows me to attach one photo at a time. Here is a close-up of the engine compartment. Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice...These are sort of a surprise that started in Italy with subscriptions a few years ago. They are picking some strange subjects mixed with great ones depending on the market. I saw White Box is offering the 1/8th Duetto. Maybe after they stop the subscriptions you will be able to get a few of these.
More Hiro 1/43rd 917K's on the way. I hope they do more 1/12th scale kits also, like the 1971 low tail Martini Sebring winner!! Image Unavailable, Please Login

No, I was tempted to do the Countach, but just have not got around to it. I'm running out of space to put the 1/8th scale models. I saw Senna and Prost drive these cars a lot in 88, so to me this was a great model to have. As far as putting it together it was pretty easy, couple of typo's in the directions but easy to figure out. I did some extra engine detailing and wiring and highlighted all the radiators and coolers with ink washes etc... overall the quality of the kit was very good. I wish they would do a Ferrari or Lotus in 1/8th!
Very nice McLaren. Next up in 1/12th scale from Hiro, it looks like both a 458 and 488 GTLM. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, 1/8 is big. One of those guys (Italian subscription service) did a LaFerrari and perhaps an Enzo too a few years ago. A 488 GTLM would be intriguing but a 458 is just too conventional for my taste. I am hoping Hiro, being a Japanese company, makes a 1/12 of the J50. Hello Hiro, are you listening? Make a J50 please! -F
It does...Strange that they have a RED overlay. Maybe they are trying to be tricky again. Both a Ford GT and a 488 GTLM or GTE would be nice.
