uau..what a gorgeous model..problem with this kits is that besides the price you still have to spend much more to have it built by a professional, otherwise it won't be anyu good..this is not for amateurs...
It is just the name and molds they bought. Revell of America is gone for now. Revell of Germany will continue making kits and all announced releases are said to still be planned. I would not be surprised if they did reopen Revell USA for distribution.
Here are the two 1/24th decals I am making for the Alfa Romeo GTV6 FIA Group A 1983 and 1984. I will add a few more sponsors and numbers to each sheet along with tire decals. This is for the White Box Alfetta GTV 1/24th scale model that I am also making a wheel/bumper/spoiler transkit for. The decals are being printed by Cartograf and both of the transkits will be sold under the Scale Designs brand. Artwork copyright to Scale Designs and UMI and not for reuse. And the cars. The SPA 24 highest placed cars are on the sheet but other cars from other races will be possible. The Totip shot is not SPA but you will be able to make that car pictured also. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks nice. Go Profil24, go. Not too many 1/12 Ferrari kits out there, the good ones should be praised. -F
Beemax Audi in 1/24th scale. They really are suprising me with some very interesting model kits. I wish someone would do a Alfa 155 FIA touring racecar as they did win a ton of races all over Europe back in the mid 1990's. Image Unavailable, Please Login
G Detail Factory wants to do this Lancia Flavia Sport Prototipo Zagato in 1/24th scale. What do you think?? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Beemax is flying. They produced test shots for the Lancia S4 1/24th scale kit also already. At this rate they will be the premier plastic car model company soon. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am trying to talk Beemax into doing the Alfa 155 BTCC 1994 cars in 1/24th scale. We have had several of the Alfa 155 V6TI DTM cars for years but none of the other stock body touring cars.
Just received my gdetailfactory Lancia Zagato Daytona and it has to be one of the best, most detailed kits I have ever seen in 1/24th scale. Amazing detail.
Here is the whole thread on that model.. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1151173
Beemax is amazing!! The Audi in July and the Lancia in October. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good to see a brand pick something different and really focus on that. And rally cars make for good subjects because of all the crazy graphics and myriad of details. Beamax is obviously into this subject and it shows. Thumbs up. -F
Doesn't Tamiya make a 1/24 mid-90's Alfa 155? Thought I saw one recently with Cartograph decals for the Martini sponsored car.
Tamiya only makes the 1993 and 1996 155 V6TI DTM versions with big flares and a V6 motor. I am talking about the stock body (Silverstone) Alfa 155 Super Touring 4 cylinder version that won the British, Italian, Spanish series championships. They also ran in Australia, Germany, France ect...
Here is a photo of the 155 Silverstone as raced in the British Touring Car Championship by Alfa Corsa. They did win the championship easily. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't want to start a new thread for this small question, figured this thread has the largest group of actual kit builders, so here goes: I just assembled an old Testors-Burago 1/24 250LM kit that I came across at a yard sale. Simple kit with all the compromises one might expect, but kind of reminds me of the Dinky Toys, Solido, Mercury 1/43 cars of my childhood. It actually has some cleverly designed bits that benefitted from some paint and attention to prep. With a few detail touches I'm satisfied with the outcome, except for the terrible tire and wheel combo that I can't bear to see on the model. The kit provided wheels look like the P4 and 512 cast alloys, and the tires are too wide in the wheel wells. Ruins the whole thing. Anyone have any suggestions on where to source something more appropriate?
Next MFH 1/12th kit, the McLaren MP4/8. I think they did it because of Senna. Sure was not because of M.A. For Ferrari 1/24th wire wheels try FPPM from Portugal on ebay or buy the Hiro MFH wire wheel kit for Ferrari's. The wheels are going to cost a lot more than the 250LM model you have. Image Unavailable, Please Login
