Thanks Tom. I figured that might be the case. I've long admired the FPPM approach, so maybe now is the time to pony up. But overall, leaving the crappy chrome front and rear grille surrounds off the model loos good based on comparison with a number of photo sources, so I think it might be worth it. The overall appearance and shape are lovely. Really enjoy this thread, thanks to all the folks who share their insights.

Looks good. I think he took that over from Fiotti/Two Cats Racing. I did finally get my Alfa T33 TT12 from Fiotti in 1/24th scale. It is pretty nice although not designed very well. The shape is very good and the detail very nice. Good decals and photoetch but I think it is out of production already. It took over a year to get the kit. Amazing no other bigger company has done a kit of this car yet. The 1975 and 1977 champion surely would sell well.

So, they're doing the Lowenbrau version as well. I always thought that looked better than the Marlboro car.
SMP24's next kit will be the Ferrari 308 RAINBOW. The ESPADA is due out in a few weeks. Both are 1/24th scale. I must say he has been picking the worst show cars to do lately. Both the Navajo and the Rainbow were not very pretty, but it is still good to see them in resin kit form.

Someone should do a detail set for Profil 24’s 1/12 250 LM. Otherwise I guess I’ll just get some detail parts made on my own. -F
Hobby Design 1/24th Ferrari 488 kit in resin. Look in the background in photo 2. It is also coming in 1/24th scale. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here are the July 2018 releases. They are doing a 2018 F1 car, I think the Ferrari along with a Lancia Beta Turbo in 1/12th scale. Hiro 1/12th kit quality although not perfect is pretty good. They do simplify a lot of parts and forget key parts such as bodywork structure wich makes me mad, but otherwise they are not bad at all. I cannot believe Modelers is wasting good talent making garbage car 1/24th resin kits. High end resin full kits are normally for special cars as they are expensive to make and cost a lot, so this car should be a diecast only. Only in Japan. The people who drive these could not even get the superglue out of the package let alone paint it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Really, that's arrogant. Maybe that car is all the person can afford, and maybe has a kid who would like to build a model of dad's car, and maybe he/she is a beginning modeler for which this is a good little project.
