They did the Mercedes C11 in 1/24th scale wich was only sold at the Japanese model fair before, but mainly 1/12th now and a few 1/43rd releases. I figure he will do a few more 1/20th and 1/24th kits sooner or later.

Well no Ferrari after all. The next 1/12th Hiro kit is a Honda. I would take the Italian GP winner in 1/24th but not 1/12th. I bet Hatchette will do this car in 1/24th scale.

Those 1/8th models are ok but rather toy like. The F40LM and 250 GTO are very nice additions.

Next up, the 1/24th scale Alpha Model Ferrari Roma kits are out. Very fine looking kit.

I've built a bunch of the 1/8 scale kits - the one for the James Bond DB5 was terrible, but both the Ferrari 312T4 and Mclaren Mp4/4 were excellent to build and very detailed. the fit and finish was way better than any Hiro or resin kit I've seen.

I do not defend Hiro as some of their kits are hard to build. But they do offer alot more detail than most of the subscription 1/8th kits from the news stands. The news stand models assemble more like a toy than the sometimes difficult Hiro kits, although Hiro has gotten alot better.

Next months Hiro 1/12th kit clue. This looks old, like 1930's. I hope it is not a Bentley.

Completely agree with you about the Hiro kits vs. all of the big 1:8 subscription/newsstand kits. And, that wheel image certainly does look like a Bentley wheel.

Totally Agree! I was at that race - and have the same poster - the original one! That is why I love this model! I can remember that day like yesterday! Villeneuve was the class of the field when it was raining!

Having now built 3 Hiro kits - they are not worth the money. actually, they are really poorly made, which is why they are so difficult to build - needlessly so. at least with News stand kits they are engineered to work.

Hello David.... just curious... who's the model manufacture of your 312 T4? I really like it!
