Hiro's passing is a shock. He raised the game for everyone; I doubt any maker will ever top Model Factory Hiro (although I'm sure opinions differ). It will be interesting to see how the company moves forward without him. Condolences to Kyoko as well as all his friends, family and employees. A legend gone.
I think he probably had a list of cars he was doing. Kyoko will continue with that list. I agree with you 100 %, one of a kind company. Tameo and others in 1/43rd scale have done the same thing, but not in such a large scale......

When will Tamiya make a new Ferrari kit? The SF-23 in 1:20 or the SF-90 XX Stradale in 1:24 would be nice.
Tamiya have been a pretty big disappointment to automotive modelers for quite some time now. Speculation that the success of Meng, Beemax, Nunu, et al might get Tamiya going again has, so far, not produced even rumors of new automotive kits.

Just found this thread, looks like some nice models been build by some people here, been doing it myself couple years back, now i just cant bring myself to start anymore, and i got some (in my opinion) very cool sets still laying around (including a Tamiya Williams FW14B in 1/12 scale)...

Instead of the twin tanks of the stock 308GT4 the race car has a single tank, probably moved for weight distribution, and totaling more than 2x the capacity of the street car. 180 liters according to https://girardo.com/features/the-spellbinding-story-of-the-unique-ferrari-308-gt4-lm/
Nice. I think I used to have the old FDS turd, errr, I mean white metal kit of this car. Always had a big soft spot for the 308GT4.

First batch of the 1/12th Hiro Cobra Daytona kits sold out. I have never heard of that happening before. They are making a second batch ASAP to cover the unfilled pre orders. $650.00 including shipping from Hiro Japan.
Any idea how many kits they produced? And what their average production run quantity is on their 1:12th kits?
