We are getting a bunch of duplicates this year. I doubt the Fujimi 458 will have an engine, the Revell will. Im buying the Revell. After building the Revell California I am very happy with their quality now. That Lotus 79 duplication is just stupid. Hasegawa announced it first so this is Tamiya being foolish again. The Fujimi LP400 full detail kit is as good as anyone will ever need! Why another Countach?? Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2010 model/photo contest-Chicago April 24th 2010
Italia by Fujimi is good news. I will probably get both and then build the best one, or even make a Frankenstein.
Hi guys, added the Revell Italia by Revell, shown at last weeks Techno Classica, Essen, Germany. Looks like pre series / master/ Prototype model. Redcarmod Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Only 3 days to go until Ferrari Expo. I will have a few kit announcements to make at the show for 4 kit manufactures, with photos or the masters. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferraro Expo 2010 model/photo contest-Chicago April 24th 2010
Well, here is a photo of new releases planned soon in 1/24th by HRM, Hiro and Garage 24. I had a display area set up for new model releases at Ferrari Expo. Fisher also has two or three models planned including a 1965 Ferrari P2 and 2 other race cars. I also showed my Englebert tires in 1/43rd-1/24th and 1/12th along with all new Grandsport Corvette Halibrand wheels for the Accurate Miniatures GS kit. I will post photos of them later. If you want an Airtrax 1/24th 250 GT or series 2 convertible transkit you should contact them direct at: [email protected] TT Image Unavailable, Please Login
That picture of the AirTrax is very close to the '250 Pininfarina Spyder' model I have at home (sorry about the watermark). Fujimi has brought out a PE set for the 458 at the same time as the model. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10114896 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ah in the offline mode I did see that the image you have is also from the Pininfarina so it is the same as the 'series 2' then. I could not find any kit numbers by the way for the Spyder or Coupé version. So if somebody does not these let me know (thank you). Arno.
Here are some photos of the early prototypes for the new Scale Designs wheels and tires. The Engelbert tires are in 1/43rd, 1/24th and 1/12th. The Halibrand wheels are for the Accurate Miniatures Grandsport Corvette kit. The AM kit wheels are on the left. I have to clean them up a little more for production, but you can see how off the kit wheels are. All these wheels and tires are prototypes. The actual parts will be even sharper. The F40LM wheels and tires are in 1/12th scale and are for a transkit Scale Designs is making for the Kyosho 1/12th diecast F40. It will turn it into a F40LM and will include wheels, tires, front clip, rear wing, photoetch and decals. Release date and price TBA. There are no kit numbers for Airtrax kits. They are produced in extremely low quantities mostly by order. -Niko

Next up from Fisher if you tell him you want it, the Ferrari 500 Mondial in 1/24th scale. He has several versions planned including this version and a Carrera Pan America version, but will not go ahead with the project unless he sees demand. Tell him you want it!!! Better buy more of the Ferrari P2 kits if you want one. They are not selling as well as expected. Prices for all Fisher kits will be going up soon. One more photo of the Fisher 1/24th 500 Mondial and 750 Monza "soon to be released" if enough demand is seen. The Jaguar D-type and Cunningham 1/24th kits are also still available. Call Paul Fisher and tell him you want this kit, or he won't make it!! Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2011-Chicago April 2011 Image Unavailable, Please Login
