    YOU bashing Massa????

    Sorry for the hijack Tommy.

I am working on a CMM 2012 Massa car. Tough build as so much is wrong or missing. Will start a thread about it soon.

LOLO, you caught me with the Massa car...(was that a promise you made in case he left Ferrari!!)....and you're rigth..there's a lot of things wrong with that car...Ferrari themselves wetren't able to fix it!! hope you can!
By the way, what's the price on those kits? I ask because you said they are not very acurate/complete, and instead you could go for the Mg ones wich are superb.

    About $ 400

I haven't seen a MG model newer than 2010. And the older ones are sold out.

Fernando Pinto as a couple of new Ferrari models under construction:

    scale 1/24:
330 Tr le mans 1962 winner
    375 F1 1951
    625 F1 Monaco 1955

    and scale 1/20:
    500F2 1953

Sounds like it would not last very long...

New pictures on the MFH site show the body work in a full chrome finish but no mention of how it is achieved. I wonder if they are chrome plating it for us? If so that's pretty sweet!

Sounds great....some nice cars. The Monaco winner is a suprise. Almost as suprised as Lancia and Mercedes where when the Ferrari won the race!!

Here is the CMM Brabham BT45 Alfa in 1/12th. Looks pretty good in the photos.

These 'chrome' parts could be made by electro-forming.....

If the MFH kit had an electro-formed body I think they would be mentioning that little bit of information on their site in big bold letters since it has only ever been done a handful of times!

Paul has told me he is still going to do the 500 Mondial and maybe the 750 Monza in 1/24th. He sent me photos of the master a few years ago, so the project is behind schedule. I hope he finishes it soon. He will do other versions of the Monza and the 500 Mondial.

This was released in Japan some time ago and may finally be available to the UK and USA soon. The UK importer was hoping for it by the end of 2013 but it looks like that will slip past.
For those unfamiliar this is a 1:8 scale highly detailed diecast model very similar to a Pocher kit but produced in Japan by Kyosho.
Deagostini models are sold by subscription so you are basically buying the model a few pieces at a time. In the case of the MP4/4 there are 70 individual assortments of parts and each one of them comes with a magazine that incorporates the assembly guide. With the subscription you receive a binder for the magazines. Previous models have included special "gifts" in some of the parts packs like a hat or keychain. There have also been some special offers that seem to be on a lottery basis including rain tires and a driver figure - not available outside of Japan.
The last time the US distributor handled one of these model subscriptions (2008 MP4/23) they broke it down into a choice of 6 or 12 monthly installments or 1 complete kit and cost was $1200. No idea of pricing yet on the MP4/4 in the US but for those who can not wait a complete kit sent from Japan can be purchased for around $3150 - way more than the cost in Japan obviously.

Deagostini also offer a 1/8 scale Lamborghini Countach Walter Wolf LP500S and a McLaren MP4/23.

Just received the Escuderia 24 1/24th Z102 engine kit and very rare Strada 24 Maserati A6GCS spider also in 1/24th scale. Both are very well done. The Maserati has some nice photoetch with all the important parts. I like the kits seats alot and the body looks correct and is very nice. The Pegaso Z102 motor is a work of art with very clean castings. You can build as either the 4 barrel carbureted engine or with supercharger. This engine will go into the upcoming Z102 Pan Am 1954 1/24th kit soon. You can also get it now in the non supercharged Pegaso Z102 kit. I always liked the Ricart designed Pegaso V8's. They were way ahead of their time.

    Those look like great pieces!

I can't see in the photo, is the PE by Eduard?
I'm still trying to source a more inexpensive resource for producing a series of small PE plates for me, in nickel or thin stainless

More from Airtrax, the cool little FIAT 850 coupe also in 1/24th from Tapani Rauramo. It looks very nice and is well done.

Next Ferrari after the 330 GT 2+2 will be the 365 California in 1/24th scale. Niko the Ferrari Airtrax master maker has alot of great ideas. Keep looking here for information on new Airtrax kits.

Contact :[email protected] for Airtrax kit pricing and more info.

P.S. notice the full motor in the FIAT 850 kit!!
