Modelrossi have announced a 1/8 scale resin kit of a Ferrari GTO for 2014. No details yet of any particular chassis #. If it is like their Miura kit it will be about 1000 pieces with working steering and suspension and doors, boot and bonnet will open. Detail level should be very high but like many artisanal kits it will require considerable skill to get the proper fit and finish. Limited edition of 100 numbered kits and price probably in the area of €1500. May also be a separate engine kit for around €400. Modelrossi have a Facebook page and a website at automodelli scala 1/8 1/12 1/18 - ModelRossi JimdoPage! Automodelli personalizzati scala 1/8 1/12 1/18
Not a kit but nice diecasts that can be rebuilt into good models. NEW Welly diecast 1/24th Alfa Romeo 4C production version, Porsche 918 RSR and several road Porsche. Aston Martin and American performance car models(and a Trabant). They are true 1/24th, not 1/25th scale. They also did a Lotus Exige S radio control in 1/24th, but it has no cockpit detail. Welly quality are better than Fujimi plastic kits when it comes to accuracy and detail. They are diecast metal, but who cares. They can be taken apart and rebuilt into superb models. The 8C they did even had correctly textured seats. The Welly 1/24th range is getting alot larger. Welly Die Casting Factory Limited! Happy Holidays

Info on the Alfa Romeo Duetto model in 1/8th scale.... I hope the Hiro 1/12th 126C2 is only a transkit. I would rather they spend time on another 1/12th Ferrari kit of a car that has not been done yet!! http://www.hachette-fascicoli.it/opere-minisito-opera/AlfaRomeoDuetto.htm

Looking at the photos I notice the wheel fairings are not the peculiar types as those on the Le Mans cars. His kits are excellent, however. Rossa156-63
I'd love to make a Ferrari F1 model display like this: Ferrari F2000 Tamiya - Auto Completed Works - eScale Models Reminds me of the Exoto shadow box Ferrari 246 F1: Exoto - Studio Artistique - Exoto XS Shadow Box No. 1 / Mike Hawthorn
The car kit shown is of the 1931 Alfa 2300 Lemans winner. It had normal wheel fairings. The kit is correct in that area.
Ah...thanks. Were the photos of the cars for another Le Mans? I know that in one year they were painted with yellow markings and had the interesting fairings. Rossa156-63
FPPM is doing 3 of the 4 Alfa Lemans winning 2.3's in 1/24th. The last page shows all three that he is doing.
Tom, Can you tell me all the 1/12 resin kits that are cars from the 1966-1965 seasons. I am trying to purchase just the tires from the manufacturers for my Ferrari 158/64 project. Rossa156-63
Patrick, Stradasports.com has replacement tires for the 1966 Ford GT40MKII in1/12th scale for the Trumpeter kit. These might work for you.
I am reposting this thread originally posted by Enzotoys so that it will not be forgotten: " 1/24 Aston Martin DB2 by Manuel Hermosillo -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Surpringly, nobody on this forum has yet mentionned the new Aston DB2 in 1/24th scale offered recently on Ebay by Manuel Hermosillo of Mexico. Altough I did not buy one because I am waiting after the next version Manuel will make of it (more on this in a moment), it seems to be a very worthy effort from Manuel and will built into an interesting curbside model. Here are two photos of the kit and the built model : According to Manuel, per suggestion of a customer he will make 2 modifications to subsequent batches: 1) The rear bumper will be built in 2) The grille shape will be modified; the central section's edges will be parallel instead of slighly tapered as they are now. I will definitely buy one from the subsequent batch. " Available from: [email protected] Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Nice job! I'm currently working on a 312 T3. Also 1/12 scale from Protar. Some parts borrowed from Tamiya. The sheer number of parts in this kit is mind boggling. PS: Sorry for the thread hijack. Not a new kit of course, but long gone. Occasionally one pops up on ebay. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great models guys but why don't you post the photos on the fchat completed models and wip thread(unless it is a build of a brand new kit just released). I know I have been guilty of posting some not so new model photos also. Time to try and get back on the topic of new kits. Also feel free to post any information on NEW sportscar/racecar model car kits you find. I am sure I miss a few.
