I am being sent a test shot of the Mini Delta Sebring 1966 Ferrari P3 in 1/12th scale to show at Ferrari Expo 2015. If you happen to be in the Chicago area on March 21st come over and take a look. I should have the latest new FPPM kits also for you to look at.

I just received the 1/12th Hiro 250 GTO 1962 and it is a stunner. The wheels will be a lot of work as you all will see when you get the kit. The machining on the rims is amazing but the spokes are going to be hard to construct. Atleast they drilled the holes!! They went to thick flat die cut aluminum front and rear window frames and headlight cover surrounds that are much thicker than photo etch could ever be. They are flat so they have to be sanded and polished to the correct shape like on the real GTO. Good way to fix the problem. This is the best full detail kit in 1/12th ever produced in my opinion and has several upgrades compared to the 64 GTO kit.

The wire wheels will be a lot of work to build. I do not think they will look much better when finished than the 64 GTO wheels but they are closer to the real cars Borrani's.

I will also have a pre production Ferrari 375 Pan Am 1954 FPPM 1/24th kit at Ferrari Expo 2015 on March 21st. That will be the second US resin Ferrari kit debut at Ferrari Expo this year.

Make a separate thread on the kit. It would be cool to see what things look like.

Supercar Modeling Project 24 from Japan seems to be back. They are showing a 512S showcar, Ferrari 308 GT/4, Lamborghini Urraco, Jarama and Maserati Khamsin all in 1/24th. They also are doing a BMW 2002 and FIAT X1/9 along with several Japanese cars.

They are very expensive resin kits.

512 Speciale has been made last year and long sold out. I have the kit. Same for BMW 2002. The others seem to be new.

Good question. Not many dealers for this company. Raccoon in Japan could get them I am pretty sure, but for well over $200.00 US.

Here confirmed is the Hiro 1/12th Ferrari 126C4 kit.

You did not look hard enough. They are working on a Maserati Ghibli it looks like.

Not sure if any of the models are discontinued, but they are hard to get.

It looks really nice. Is the price for one of these around $800 or so?

If you do decide to take some progress pics post 'em up. It's nice to see the projects members are working on.

    Hi!

I send Email to Kazuko from Raccoon, but they don´t know or heard ever from SMP24. Maybe other Ferrari Chat-Members know more or have a contact from SMP24 or know´s a retailer?

    Regards
    Thomas

I have somebody working on getting these kits right now. He is in contact with Makoto the owner of SMP24. All the kits are still in production, but he is going to have to make more molds. This will be a limited slow production company since only 1 man runs it. The price should be around $200.00-$250.00 each for the kits depending on shipping and the exchange rate.

FPPM Ferrari 375 Pan Am 1954 Phil Hill kit in 1/24th scale is ready. He will also do the Nurburgring 1953 winner, Pan Am 1953 Chinetti DNF and Mille Miglia version. I will have a pre production copy at Ferrari Expo 2015.

Also this 1/24th 917PA kit shown at the bottom just came out. Does this US company have a name yet??

Italeri says they will release a few of the Protar old kits. After the ones in the photo a Alfa 179 1/12th scale reissue will come next.
