Just a quick question. Do all Mondies have an adjustment/tension screw?

My car doesn't but it looks original.

No, not all years have the tension screws. Not sure which years do but I know not all years have them.

I should also add that it is best for someone to push forward on the B Pillar while trying to larch the top on each side. It is also important for your helper to help guide the B Pillar past the interfering body panel when you open and close the roof.

One of my toggles recently broke and I replaced them with a new pair from Ron. They are of superb quality in all respects (of course, being "made in the USA"!). I think they have also improved my Mondial t's performance characteristics, but that could just be a subjective effect.

    Very funny.
Actually, my teeth have been whiter since I installed mine.

    Glad I could help.

Hello everyone, I know this is an old thread, but it’s the one that applies the best to my current issue. I tried to put up the top for the first time in a while, and I broke one of the latches on the windshield (as you can see in the pictures), they are made of the same crappy cast metal as the rest of the latch. They don’t look to difficult to replicate, but the machine shop I had access to closed down about a year ago, so for the time being I don’t have access to a mill. Has anybody replicated this items in steel alloy? Ron?

I'm almost certain I have one. I'll check tomorrow when I get home.
I also think Ricambi has them.
I did make some at some point, milled from Stainless and sold them for $35.00 each.
I sold out and never made more.

Yes, $75 for a pair is a very nice price. I was worried they would be originals made out of the same brittle stuff, but it says it's made in the USA and machined out of aluminum bar stock, so it should be much better than the originals, I'll definitely order a pair.

Thanks to Ron (and yet another positive shout-out to him!), I was easily able to change my broken roof toggles with his kit, good seal on the roof! (Excellent craftsmanship and service as usual). I know he also had some other upgrades planned for the mondial so keep-'em-comin'!

Thanks Ron for all you do for our Mondials, much appreciated!
I'm looking for a pair of roof latches and also Ricambi America has sold out theirs.
Do you eventually plan to make some more in the next future?

Please look at the other two threads. I sell the Toggles and the Sliders.

These parts can be used to rebuild your existing mechanisms for less than the cost of one replacement handle and will solve your problem forever.
