Have I told you about the few times I’ve done national rally track days? Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Sorry, there was also wins at Surfers, Wakefield Park and the Canberra track, Fairbairn. And from memory, 2nd at Lakeside twice and Fairbairn once. Not bad for the 7 Rallys I did between 1987 and 1996. And all the time sheets were in the magazine at the time. Anything else?
So at the various rallies we both attended,we were both successful. Not too dusty particularly as,in my case,it was 8 years between drinks. Unfortunately in '09 Qld I couldn't enter the track event 'coz Marc had diagnosed a stuffed rear wheel bearing in the 330
Well it wouldn't surprise me. Bit hard for a FEV12OHOS and 308GT4 to be outright,I'd have thought. But I'm pretty happy with my results in the 2 times I attended track days.
Neither would the 328's I suspect... Those of us who've done any form of competitive driving will have been in the situation of 'chequebook ' drivers......catching/overtaking cars that we really shouldn't have.
Yep, from the days when it actually meant something... since the trophy now goes to basically whomever is game to track their ‘plated’ concourse car you and Horse should be a shoo-in!
While I'm trumpet blowing, I won it twice ('94 and '09), and before that was it was the "Marenello Trophy" which I've also won (1988). Some well known names on the Ron Davis trophy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Trophies from '88 and '94 were signed prints Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login .
I'm pretty sure an F40 won outright in '89 I'm pretty sure a 355 won in '99 (**** that was funny) I'm pretty sure it was the same driver both times.... 10 years apart lol
