    I am considering an FF

    Few questions

Any difference between a 2012-2013-2014 model?
Beaded on money alone would you buy cheaper used model or new more expensive but built as you want it ( color , option etc)
Do you need suspension lifter for everyday use?
How good is air conditioning unit? It gets hit in summer where I live
How good original sound system vs Hi Fi option?

I got lucky with a beautiful FF that the dealer put together as it was destined for a demo car. I bought it before it had any demo miles. I would only have added a front camera compared to the way it came. Getting it right away vs a six month wait was WAY WELL worth it! I don't have the right hand display, think that is a waste. Your passengers will be in awe anyway of the power, they don't need that display.

Suspension lifter, I have used it four times in 29,000+ miles but I see it as necessary.

    A/C works great

Optional stereo has some very cool features like remembering your favorite artists or songs! I will get the optional system on any future Ferrari.

Same, I bought an unused car specced by the dealer.

Haven't needed the lifter, A/C is fine, I use the iPod link in the car so no need for music gadgets.

My experience was that used '12s and '13s were not priced low enough to justify buying one relative to ordering a '14. This surprised me since I hear all kinds of noise about how fast they have depreciated. The real world market does not seem to conform to that. As related by others there may be some nice unused ones that dealers have ordered that may fill the bill.

I bought used as well. A FF came up which was almost identical to something that I would spec myself. Only things I would have added are carbon fibre steering wheel (can be done aftermarket anyways), front lifter (even though I've not actually needed it, more for peace of mind) and rear wiper (might just put some hydrophobic coating on). None of these missing features were major enough to put me off.

I believe that the newer FF's include more of the original options as standard

We have a very early 2013. Best I can tell, the 12-13-14's are identical from a specification perspective (so says my dealer and FNA).

In 13 models, there were several options that were made standard - rear camera, sensors, et al - for the same base price. Effectively, our car was $13K "less" than had we purchased a 2012 for the same vehicle.

2 options not available at the time were the glass roof and the ability to get the LED's with a leather steering wheel...
