    Congrats, I have an 07, Like any other powerful machine get to know it before you crush that loud pedal..I have only put a few hundred miles on mine but I can tell you its a fun car.
    Its a great blend of power,comfort and beauty!
    Please list some specs when you get a chance..Kevin

    Definitely agree about getting to know the car. The power is such that for taking turns in a sporty manner I would suggest 1 gear higher than you might think correct.

    You should make sure the stereo has the eq activated and if it does not there is a way to activate it (I forget now but we can look it up if needed).

    The battery tender included with the car is too weak- you should get something from ctek and fit it to the battery. I suggest the Ctek 3300 or 7000. Ctek makes the included tender, which btw, is their model 700 I believe.

    I found the CCM brakes to be a little vague at lower speeds which made making smooth stops a little tricky- that was until I took the car to a track day. I didnt abuse them but I drove the car as designed and I was on the brakes hard. After that event I found the brakes to be easier to modulate at lower speeds. So I suggest if you can find some long stretch or road or track to get on them.

    Congrats on buying one of the greatest road going cars ever made! The 599 is one of my favorite new Ferraris. Amazing car! Enjoy in good health!

    One thing I will be looking into today is an iPod integration kit. Anyone with experience on this? Do I need to go through a Ferrari dealer or is it possible within reason to use an audio shop? If this has been covered by an earlier post my apologies.

    If it is like the kit for the 430 you can not use the Ipod and 6 disc changer. It's one or the other. The kit plugs into the same port as the CD Changer. You could do it yourself and buy the kit from Ricambi or any shop can plug it in for you.

    Congratulations. The only advice I can give you:

    a) Follow advice from Hawkeye and FJerry.
    b) Drive the car whenever you get the chance. As you get more seat time you start to enjoy and appreciate the car much more. It's V12 is state of the art. Great Ferrari to own!!!
