Hello everyone, After my happy 612 ownership I decided to stay in known territory and went for a 599 when this color combo came up I loved the 612 for its GT spirit, I am addicted to the 599, this is the ultimate GT, no need to go fast to enjoy it, super classy, roars a low speeds, and yet a monster when you turn on race on the manettino. One of the peculiarities of this one is the full Alcantara seats which I have never seen before on standard 599, it gives it a sporty touch. The F1s gearbox is fantastic, that kick in the butt at high revs is priceless. Here are some pictures. After 40000 km the white is actually like new, the blue could do with some cleaning though, i am looking at Alcantara cleaning techniques right now for it. If anyone has suggestions it’s welcomed Thanks Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Could be like finding a needle in a haystack, but Larry from Ammo NYC talks about cleaning alcantara in some of his YouTube videos. As I recall, he uses an interior cleaner and a detailing brush to clean, wipes dry with a microfiber towel, then uses compressed air to get the fibers to stand up again. Larry's videos are great, BTW. His enthusiasm is really endearing, and I've learned a lot from listening to him. If you email him, he might point you to the right video. I'll also try to remember to ask my detailer next time I see him. Also: your new baby looks like a gem, congratulations!
Found out that the interior is not crema but Grigio Chiaro, never heard of it before Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
They offered Grigio Scuro (dark) earlier, but first I have heard of Grigio Chiaro (light). Looks good, though.
