New owner in East Bay area

Hello all,

Excited to own my first Ferrari! She's a 2008 F430 F1 in Rosso Corsa. I've had a soft spot in my heart for this car since it came out and finally get to enjoy it on a more personal level.

Would love the chance to meet some locals or get pointed in the right direction to local events. Are there any groups here or otherwise or any recommendations for meets or drives that some of you all might participate in? I'm located in Castro Valley myself.

Welcome Joe. Castro Valley is a bit of a haul, but there is a cars and coffee event every 3rd Sunday of the month at the Hobby Lobby in Morgan Hill (just off Cochrane/101). Its a good turn out with both hot rods and exotics and a few other curiosities. Ferrari Silicon Valley also hosts another cars and coffee periodically in the Palo Alto area. I'd check Facebook others (though I don't use FB). cheers

 

I've also been to the Morgan Hill C&C and it had a nice mix the 3 times I went this year.

My favorite (and closest to me) is the "Driving While Awesome" instagram guys that have theirs at the Wrigley building on the west side of Santa Cruz (not always monthly) but they make announcements on their instagram.

I've got two young girls so its difficult to get personal time but I'm always interested in local drives and get togethers. I did put one together for our local 456/550/575 guys a little over a month or so ago in south san jose (drove out to Alice's via Los Gatos and Saratoga), short drive but fun to meet several of the guys in real life.

 

https://ferrariclubofamerica.org is a great organization to join. Very nice, passionate members with lots of activities in the Pacific Region. You’ll have plenty of drives to go on …

 

East bay over here as well. Every third Sunday there’s a meet in Moraga near the Dollar Tree. Mostly Germans but it gets sprinkled with other makes.

I occasionally grab a few Fcar guys and go for a drive. PM me if you’re interested in joining next time.

Congrats, it’s an amazing car. I too have a F430 spider and live in Danville. The Blackhawk museum has started to have some C&C events again, but seems like most events are on the peninsula.

A new Santa Cruz FCA chapter was started, a bit closer than the active Monterrey chapter.
