Hi Everyone, Just stopping in to introduce myself, last Saturday I picked up my first Ferrari. I'm 99% sure it's scubamike's old 360. 2002 360 Spider F1 in Nero and tan. I drove it from Charlotte home to Annapolis last weekend and have driven it every day since (except rainy Friday) I love this car, and it's going to be tough to keep the miles off. I've been doing tons of research and reading over the past few weeks here and elsewhere. There's so much good info on this site, I'm sure I'll be a near daily visitor. Thanks! Phil Annapolis, MD
yes congrats your going to love beeing a Ferrari owner. I just picked up my new california a few weeks ago and I dont think I have even walked across the street to the deli...I drive now
Phil, Congrats on the Ferrari! BTW, there is a Cars & Coffee get-together every Sunday in Annapolis. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=311893&page=11 You might already go to it, but I thought I'd mention it in case you didn't know about it.
Try to be part of the high mile club. It's a lot more fun. Low miles is something you buy, high miles is something you can be proud of.
well done & welcome to the ownership club. don't be concerned about putting miles on it .. it's more upsetting not to drive it
Well done. Don't worry about the miles, they are driver's cars. I just (last Friday) took delivery of my 550 Maranello and have put 300 miles on it already just running around. This is not my first but it is fast turning in to my favorite. Modern Ferraris are really heads and shoulders above the 60s cars. Good luck!
Hi folks, thanks for the welcome! Pics are coming, I've been busy refinishing the paddles, replacing the wheel center caps, and installing a Challenge rear grille. I'll get out there and get some decent pics this week. Still on temp tags, getting inspection tomorrow and then still waiting on the title. Me saying it will be tough to keep the miles off, means I'll be driving her, not trying to keep miles off ;-) I should also make cars and coffee in Annapolis this week too.
I finally got her cleaned up and posted pics after I got back from cars and coffee today! Scubamike's old 360 Spider with some buffing and new parts now has home in Annapolis... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Always great to hear stories of new ownership. Good luck and enjoy it! You will find this is a great forum for help too. any questions just ask away..there is bound to be some here to help out.
I just wanted to introduce myself I am Aaron I just moved to Charlotte a few month ago, and i just purchased my first ferrari. It is a 2000 360 Mondena with about 16000 mile. I purchase the car sight unseen other than pic that the dealership sent me. Overall I am pretty satisfied with the car other than the interior has a little more wear -n- tear than what the pic showed. Now I just need to get the car serviced and I should be good to go. Other than the Cars and Coffee meets is there any other ferrari meets in the Charlotte area?
Aaron you have found the right spot. All the help you will ever need is right here at FerrariChat. If the picture of the 360 in your bio is your new car, all I can say is it looks real sweet. Do not know about activities in the Charlotte area but scroll down on the opening page to Regional and check out North and South Carolina. You most likely will find some events in your area. Congratulations and welcome.
Aaron, feel free to send me a PM at your convenience. I can give you some info on our local club, Charlotte Area Ferrari Enthusiasts (CAFE), as well as a local resource for servicing.
Congrats on the 360, Phil. Gorgeous in those colors. If you don't know it already, you have two great shops within an hour's drive of Annapolis when the car needs work, RMC in Reisterstown and Competizione in Gaithersburg. I've had my Ferraris at both shops and can't say enough good things about them. Check out the Mid-Atlantic Region section of FChat for casual meets and group drives. Great bunch of local owners and events. I noticed the Cobra in one of your photos. Feel free to get in touch if you want to talk Fords some time. I've owned four original Cobras and a GT40 Le Mans car. They're all gone now, but I have lots of contacts and experience to share if desired.
