    Hi All,
I just realized my lifelong dream of owning a Ferrari, in this case a 2002 575M Maranello (American car) which I purchased from Daytona Auto in Woodbridge. Its been just over 2 weeks since I've had the car and I am still at the Euphoric "is it real or just a dream" stage. I certainly hope this feeling lasts. I've found the manual fairly useless and I still don't know what all the dash buttons do (or not). The car sounds and drives amazingly. Though I initially would have preferred a manual 550/575 I am getting used to the F1 box and actually enjoying it. In the back of my mind I am worried about potential future service issues and or things I should watch out for, or just be careful to avoid. If anyone wants to offer any tips or pointers I am all ears... (?)
I also just joined the Ferrari Club of America East Canadian Region so that I can meet like minded Ferrari owners and gain tips and experience from them as well.
Unfortunately none of my friends have the Ferrari or even Auto affliction and they couldn't care less if I had a Ferrari or a Hyundai, just thinking its a waste of money. Hopefully I'll meet some people who feel otherwise.

    Congrats, and welcome to F-Chat!

Enjoy your time here, and don't let that guy Turbopanzer try to sell you any Ad space in his Sig line.

    Hi There,
My recently purchased 2002 575M Maranello has a deactivated Boomerang security system in it which I have been told cannot be re-activated because its been de-activated for too long (either that or they just don't want to here in Canada). The company that markets them is now selling a security system called LoJack which they claim is better and has its own power source.
They are recommending I bring the car in, remove the de-activated Boomerang, and install the LoJack. I am concerned about removing and re-installing panels, etc... which may cause annoying sounds and rattles, as the car feels and sounds so tight now.
    Any advice?

Wow! Its beautiful! One of the most beautiful designs that Pininfarina ever produced in my opinion. I'm sure you're enjoying it. I saw a photo of you and your family at the Ferrari factory gates in your profile as well, that must have ben amazing!

Its funny mertini86 because originally I think I would have preferred the standard wheels, but after getting the car I've come to really like those 2 piece Barchetta wheels, and practically speaking if I am unfortunate enough to hit a curb while owning the car (hopefully never, though another 575M I was considering before purchasing this one had its standard wheels all banged up), all I'll have to do is replace the outer section of the rim.

I thought I'd post a Snapseed enhanced photo of my 575M Maranello taken with my iPhone 5 camera (my nephew did it with Snapseed).

Hi, congrats the car looks in great shape with some nice options, I just bought a 575m hgtc 2005 last week, no pics yet as she is in the shop getting checked over, I am sure it the only example in Bangkok!
