Mounted EBC REDSTUFF front and rear pads on the 2005 360...now I have squeaking front brakes...only the last 15 or 20 feet...maybe moving 2 mph...Anyone else got squeaking new EBC PADS?

Yes-I put them on last Spring, they squeaked like hell. I even considered taking them off and installing something else. I proceeded to drive the car to 70mph and apply the brakes 3 or 4 times. That took care of about 85% of the noise. After driving it for about 3 months (1000 miles) the squeak is almost totally gone. I only hear it occasionally. I'm going to leave them on because I think that the noise will probably stop. If I had to replace them again I would buy another brand. The upside is that they are harder than the oem, so less brake dust. Personally, I would prefer the dust to the squeak.

My experience with OE brake pads vs after market brake pads is the OE brake pads offers the best compromise between brake noise and brake dust.

Most after market brake pads may provide better bite, longer life and less brake dust but they do squeal, and some of them to the point that its embarrassing....

Hence my vote would be OE/Original Equipment.

You likely didn't bed them in properly yet.

Go up to 60MPH, then hammer the brakes until you get to about 20MPH. Rinse and repeat 3/4x, and then give it a 10 minute cooldown. Then, you can step the speed up to 70/80MPH if you'd like.

Will bed them in, and should get rid of most of the noise.

I have StopTech sport pads and they work better, and don’t squeak. The key to these brakes and any system with stiff, fixed calipers, is to true the rotors or use new ones if the old ones are worn. They squeak if you don’t.

I put EBC Redstuff pads on both my 430 and R8 for the low dust quality. I did not experience any squeaking. In fact, the R* OEM pads screeched horrendously.

Reminds me of an exchange over on a Lotus forum where a member had bought an Exige and asked “Why is it that when I press the brakes lightly I get a huge squealing noise, and when I press then hard enough not to squeal, they pretty much launch me through the windshield?”

One of the long time members responded “Because you bought a race car.”

Everything in life, and especially in brakes, is a compromise.
