Hi All Finally decided to pull the trigger on new paint. GermanDino was kind enough to provide me with my original paint code and informed me there were only 12 done in this color. Unfortunately that means I can’t find any pictures of a GT4 in this color. By some miracle is one of the other 11 anyone on here who could post a picture of theirs? We also came across a good sample under headlight bucket thanks to a half ass paint job done by PO (see photo below) but would love to see a full car in this color before I commit! First be sure those buckets belong to that car. Make sure the build numbers match the reset of the car.
I assume you have seen this? The 548 Blu Montecarlo gt4 is probably a close approximation, although they always look different in real life.
ah yes good call. they match and we also found that color elsewhere on the car (under windshield, etc).
Don't know where you planned on getting the paint, but I had great success getting the proper color in a base/clear from Glasurit when I painted my '77 GTB in the original 20-Y-490 Giallo. I was told that Euro Azzurro Cielo car was sold and now resides in Florida. One of 11 as per GermanDino. I have one of those 11 but the PO repainted in silver, too nice to turn back.
I thought it looked familiar. I spoke to the owner about his 365GT4 2+2 a couple of years ago. It now appears that both cars are with the same small dealer in Germany that you linked.
