Anybody know if it is true about new Metallic Red paint as on Ferrari F1 cars? Anybody know code of this paint or it is special order only?
I asked the Factory shortly after they used it on the F1-cars in Monaco for the first time. The reply was, that the colour will not be available on street cars and that there is yet no name nor code. They also advised me, if I would be interessted in the colour for having it on my car I should contact my official Dealer (?). I call it Rosso "Monaco" in the meantime. It looks like the pictures of the new 430 Scuderia do show the car in Rosso "Monaco". We will have to watch it at Frankfurt's IAA when it's presented there in September.
You might be able to match the color... but I though the actual F1 cars don't even use paint, it's some kind of ink that is lighter than paint... and SUPER expensive.
