    Hi everyone !

My name is Alexandre and I live in Paris, France. I'm currently in Montreal, Canada for a few months (until the end of may) for my studies. I am also an amateur photographer and, of course, a huge petrolhead ! I had the opportunity to take pictures of some of the best looking cars ever and to have a ride in some of them, 456 M GT, 575 Maranello or even 458 Italia (at 312km/h on a military runway, awesome !).

Attached are some pictures that I made with two nice owners (I don't know if they are registered here). There are many more on my flickr gallery : http://www.flickr.com/photos/texmexcars/ and on my website : www.alexandre-besancon.com

I would be glad to meet F-chatters from Montreal during my stay, and maybe others when I'll be back in Paris.

Thank you for having wasted your time reading this ! LOL

Welcome to Fchat! Great pictures. :) I've been to Montreal twice and really loved it. I will be in Paris in June with my family.

    Welcome to FerrariChat.

    Like your pictures a lot.
Just curious, what kind of camera, lens, and camera settings do you use most often for those kinds of shots?
And what do you typically do to your pictures with software post-processing?
I'm a beginner when it comes to photography, so any info is helpful.

    Thank you everybody ;)

My camera is a Canon 50D (400D when I took the pictures ahead) and I have 3 lenses : 17-85 IS, 50mm 1.8 and 70-210 3.5-4.5, all of them are Canon lenses. It's quite basic but it works fine. I don't really have a unique way to edit my pictures, but I use some tools like brightness/contrast, levels and curves, hue/saturation and a bit of sharpening (in photoshop). I can't really explain how I use it, it depends on the situation, the "style" that I want and other things.

It's obviously the same concerning settings, I adapt to the situation. But I can explain my choice on precise examples if you want.

OMG look at all those Ferrari!

they only come out a couple of months a year here...the local enzo sticks it's head out of the garage, but if he dives back inside, we know that it's going to be a late spring! :-(

    PS lovely photographs!
