So things are going back together quickly! Can't wait to turn the key. I think first firing will be open pipes. I'll always remeber the neighboors calling the shop when I first fired up an open piped new stroker 350 in a 57 Bell Air. Is there anybody that can take a picture of the attaching hardware for the foglights? It appears that I am mising a few pieces (Nothing major).

Make sure you have those rubber grommets (#16) in, or the fog lights will scraped the crap out of the inside of the light hole.

This is all I have but I dont see any back-nut or threads in the bumper. I only have two of the stainless screws if they are even the hardware. I think I'm missing 4 of the grommets.

You "only" have that? So you don't have the parts for the other side? If so then yeah you are missing some stuff. As far as the grommets go, you can get away with one in the bottom hole on either side. I would take one of the screws you have and be sure it threads up into the bumper. Then if it does, go match it up at Lowe's or Home Depot, and get the other two.

Because it's extremely easy, I pulled my fog light off and took a few pix. It seems that I'm missing all four of the rubber grommets on my car, I didn't know that!

There should be threaded inserts in the bumper for the screws to hold down that metal plate. The light goes in first, then the plate is attached with the screws to hold the light in place, then the cover piece snaps onto the studs on the front of the plate.

    GET THOSE GROMMETS IN!

I didn't have them in my car either, but I do NOW. Trust me, the fog light will eventually rub the crap out of the fog light hole. Get the grommets.

My micrometer says the holes are about 1 1/8" in diameter, and the "pointys" on the fog lights are about 1/2" - 5/8" (tapered). Should be easy to find grommets at Lowes. I have a Lowes less than 10 minutes away, should I run right over there? The lights have been OK without the grommets for the last 7 years, but I don't want anything to happen to them overnight.

Why not? Go get them. Soon as you put them in you'll feel how nice and snug the lights go back in.

My 355 had one missing, they are only a few bucks from Dave @ Ricambi (sponsor). They are a bit different than standard grommets though I did use a standard grommet until the factory versions arrived. :)
