Classic Italian comedy (in IT private cars with beginner drivers are tagged with a "P" capital letter)

Michael, great renderings in your post #430 HotCars link.

I noticed that the HotCars related Testarossa discussion in the link stated: "The Testarossa Was Misunderstood To Have A 'Flat'-12. The misunderstanding started from its predecessor. The Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer had a 12-cylinder for sure, but people misunderstood the 'Boxer' in its name to indicate a boxer engine layout. But the engine wasn't a flat-12 configuration, but more of a 180-degree V12. The pistons moved in one direction, but well, the name was given, and Ferrari didn't feel like changing it! The same engine was carried over to the Testarossa, albeit with a bump in performance. ..."

IIRC, the debate of Flat 12 vs Flat V12 is still unsettled in FChat :). EDoug

from outside a flat engine is flat ( VW old beetle, porsche, subaru, ferrari BB and TR ) so the genus is flat, but then when you look inside the engine you see the difference if it is a boxer or a V12 with 180°.

the translation from flat to german means "flach" and this is right for both kind of engines, if boxer or V12/180°. but may be you in the US or other parts of the world understand under flat something other?

so ferrari was confusing the world with wrong word. but they called it boxer, even it is no boxer. they also could call the car instead of boxer elephant, even it is no elephant. so the wording has been a little unlucky

512BBI having fun at Ferris Bueller's Day Off Movie Set
You never know where or what your Ferrari opportunities might be but, I'm sharing some photos of a really fun day in a very historic place I had with my 512BBI.
In May of 2009 I was contacted by the Realtor that was selling the Highland Park, Ill property that John Hughes used to film the 1986 Ferris Bueller's Day Off movie set This was Cameron Frye's parents home where the movie replica 250GT California had driven through the rear glass windows of the steel/glass outer building into the revine below. The Realtor asked if I could gather a few Ferrari pals together for a day of fun. You bet! They would supply a lunch and some models for a really nice photo shoot, and a really cool opportunity.

Well Joe, they aren't driving... and I'm not sure what you are implying but would Converse Hi-Top Basketball shoes be more appropiate for a photo shoot with these models?
