Just stumbled across this thread... Thought it was going to be from another person who'd never seen P4/5. BUT. Lets get some preliminary details down: Color? Location spotted? Jim, could you tell us when it was made and who designed it at Pinin? Description? And the OP had better find this car again and post some pictures! Very interesting thread. I'm taking it this is a very under the radar project? I know Zagato just did a 550 Barchetta.... Anything new is good. Can't wait to learn more. _J
It was a medium shade of metallic grey. I'm not an expert on Ferrari color palette, but judging from pics I'd say it might be Grigio Titanio. Definitely not Argento Nurburgring and lighter than both Ferrari's Grigio Silverstone and Maserati's Grigio Nuvolari, so I'd say Titanio. from a previous post.
Hmmm a one-off Ferrari by Pininfarina for which no pics exist yet? Can't imagine this thread will go away anytime soon
Here you go... from the 612/599 section http://www.autoblog.com/2009/12/11/ferrari-p540-superfast-aperta-revealed-second-from-special-proj/
The Golden Ferrari is not the car for which this thread was started. Fioravanti's F430 was SP1 (Special Project 1), the Golden Ferrari is SP2 and the one in this thread, the Superamerica inspired car, is SP3.
As Michiel points out, this is the wrong thread. This thread is NOT discussing the P540 Superfast Aperta . Since this thread was suddenly hi-jacked by P540 discussion, I've moved all of those posts over to the P540 thread so that this thread can continue to be used to discuss the silver/gray mystery car.
The subject of this thread is not SP3. The owner is a very nice very private person and I respect his privacy.
If you want to see more pics of this particular alfa go to this years, (2009), Frankfurt Auto Messe and you'll find plenty in the Alfa section
