As i have my 2400 engine out for gearbox repair, i have found that it needs new cams, pistons and some other stuff.
But i need some advice in which parts to buy.
Have found Wössner pistons and 298 degree cams at dinoparts.de

    Any suggestions?

I have to deal with an EU-country due to tax issues, but Wössner is not far away, and superformance is okay too.

    Best - Erik

regrinds your cams and welds up wear areas
do not put anything but stock grind on cams

get an oil additive for your oil changes, as new oils are lacking the lubrications necessary for these older engines, dour can supply

I used dino parts cams and high comp pistons that you refer to. No problems after 4K miles so far.

Mahle pistons - I think they where 10.4:1 compression ratio. Yes I did the work myself and I found it a steep learning curve as I have not done anything of this complexity before. However the end result is a nice engine. It produces about 195 BHP at around 8000rpm. Not as high as Dino parts claim but these are my figures and it is very drivable. I have a dyno trace somewhere if you want

No no, no need for the dyno; i believe your figures - i was just currious about the pistons, and Mahle is a well known good piston.
I am doing the work with my friend, and we have had/have help from Sweden (VERY helpfull serious thoughts), as we have absolutely no experience with this engine.
But we will get the engine running again in a couple of months, and it will be running good, as we do have some experience in race-engines.
We have a specialized machineshop at reach, that will help us with the heads (valveseats/porting), so i am confident that the operation will be a success.

We will just have to see, if our calculation/decision is right...

I used the 298 duration cams. Although I spent ages timing them and find it difficult to believe, the only explanation I have is that I must have got the timing slightly out. If you have any ideas please let me know. I have no inclination to go back into the engine for a while but would welcome your comments!
