I want to go to the new Porsche museum really bad. I went to the old museum in 1992 and loved how grassroots and unpretentious it seemed, expecially when compared with the Mercedes museum right up the road. I rememer watching a video of the building of a new Porsche 928, and I wanted one from that day on.
I've been to the old museum and can't wait to go to the new one. Christophorus has had a few neat articles about thw construction and it seems like only a complex that Porsche could do. I probably will do a car holiday next spring in Germany, working on the tentative planning now........hit Porsche, MB, Koenig, Gemballa, Ruf and BMW over 3-4 weeks.
Me too! I went in 1995 and always wanted to go back there. From what I have been seeing of the new museum, it looks like a good one for sure to go back to see.
GREAT time to buy a 928... PM me if you are seriously interested... I went to the factory in 2000 and drove my '92 GTS on the A5 from Austria to Munich and man it was a KICK! Then shipped it home and EPA/DOTed it... Awesome car! I have an '84 for sale currently and MIGHT could be talked out of some of the others if I knew they were going to a good home...
