    Hi friends!

I'm in the market for my first Ferrari (Lusso V12!) and I've been pretty confused by the various warranty offerings and rhetoric. After doing a bunch of digging (both here and elsewhere), what I'm able to discern is:
    1. The Original Factory Warranty is fully bumper-to-bumper, which includes things like oil seals, oil leaks, PTU rubber boots, and cooling leaks.
    2. The New Power warranty (which is the same as the CPO warranty), covers PowerTrain, AC/Heat, Fuel and Induction system, etc.
Does the above seem right/correct? If so, I'm trying to wrap my head around why the Original Warranty is meaningfully better (since I've heard people allude to this.) Does it also cover body work? What are the common occurrences that it covers that are not covered by New Power?

I'd love to hear from folks on personal experiences of the practical relative value difference between the two. Do folks have experiences where you needed to utilize your Original B2B warranty and the New Power would not have had you covered?

If you are in my shoes as a new buyer, and you have two equivalently specced Ferraris, but one has 2 years of the New Power (CPO) warranty remaining and another has 2 years of the Original Factory Warranty remaining, how much more would that be worth to you? (Assume the car is about ~$250k.)

    Grateful for any insight!

I have a 2017 Lusso and just got the New Power15 warranty. I am in year 5 of ownership.

The bumper to bumper can be extended for 2 years after the original expires. Years 4 and 5. Then you can get the New Power15 warranty which covers the main mechanicals for up to 15 years. Years 6 - 15. Or you can opt for the Power15 years 4 and 5.

The V12 is roughly $5800 with the inspection for New Power15 (I just did it but already forgot the price). The extended warranty is like $9K or so. I had that for year 4 as a courtesy because of my PTU failure.

To be honest I didn’t use the bumper to bumper extension nor the Power15 year 4. I will extend the Power15 as it’s piece of mind especially going through a failed PTU

Buy the spec you want not the warranty.
