While driving last night I got to a stop and the F1 360 went into (N) neutral and the rear hatch over the motor (led display) said it was opened.....but it wasn't!

I tried to reclosing the cover several times, but it didn't reset the the indicator.

I was stuck.....coudn't move backward or forward.....because the computer automatically puts the car in neutral if it thinks the engine cover is open.

After a while I did find out that if you hold the F1 (down shifter) paddle it will allow you to takeoff in 1st (brake must also be applied initially).....but at the next stop it will go back to (N) if you go below 5-mph....so you again must hold down the down paddle and tap the brake once and the car will go into 1st then 2nd...... ect.

The next day brought it to my dealership and found out the little micro switch on the rear hatch catch (beneath the plastic cover ) wasn't engaging.....bent the metal striker and BINGO!!! FIXED!

Who would think such a small device would cause such havic!!! LOL

So, to get the car to move with the hatch open you do what? hold the left lever with the foot on the brake? Thanks.

Foot on brake ....hold the UP shift(right paddle) .....release the brake..... alarm will sound but you will move forward....at 5 mph it will continue forward as normal and allow you to shift......but when you get to the next stop or <5 miles per hour it will go back to neutral.

Good to know if a door adjar switch fails!

I stumbled onto it out of necessity!
