Got my carbs adjusted and cleaned up and cr runs great. However, maybe once a day I will go to takeoff at a stop light nd touch te gas an hear a pop followed by three seconds of rough running car sounds weird. It is always after a recent start up with auto flux on. Seems like there might be too much fuel sitting in the bowls. Stock ad pump and mechanical.

Sounds like too lean of fuel mixture.

Are you in the US and using ethanol fuels? If so, you may need one size larger idle jets.

    1. Try opening the Idle Mixture screws on all the carbs by 1/8 turn. This may be all that is required to add enough fuel.
    2. Does the car have DFI carbs? If so, make sure the synchronization process used the Idle Air Bypass Screws and started with them ALL closed.
    3. Recheck the float levels.
    4. Try one size larger Idle Jet.

Haven't yet. This was work done at previous place and I'm pretty ticked. Carbs shouldn't be having issues after just being worked on

At what ambient temp, using what fuel, at what altitude?

On a hot day, running the alcohol fuel, you need only sit at a stop light for a half minute before this fuel starts to boil in the float chambers. If it is jetted rich it will help cover up the issues but jetted correctly it will show quite plainly in transition lean spots and backfires.

"Adjusted and cleaned" is quite a vague terminology that leaves a lot to the imagination.

Does sound like a stuck float or valve but just in case Did you check to see if the accellerator pumps are all working? Pull air cleaner lid look down the carb barrels and pull the throttle cable you should have a good squirt out of all six
