I am considering adding Ferrari’s Carbon Fiber rims to my 2020 488 Pista. My local dealer is telling me that the cars Proxy must be update ($4000.00). Does anybody have experience with this or have been through it?

Yes it needs a proxy to change the configuration of the car and the warnings in the dash. There have been a lot of issues with the carbon wheels do some homework. Anyone with a Leonardo and a current license can also manually change the proxy and it wont cost $4k

Overheating of the wheels has been the most common. the wheels have a temperature sensitive tape in them. If the tape changes colors the wheel is considered junk. Seems to be a track use issue and then parking without cooling everything down.
