New Raleigh C&C?

Dang...wish I would have logged on and seen this post before now. I hadn't heard of it before. But I might not have been able to make it anyway as I've felt a little under the weather since Fri night.

Maybe I'll check it out next month. From the pics posted on their site there weren't many exotics there though.

 

Nick and Matt. When I see "hot rods" and motorcycles in an ad like this it usually dissuades me from even thinking about it. Anybody go?

I just moved back here from Tennessee, and am looking to get back into the C&C crowd. The one in Nashville was awesome for a while, then the imports showed up and the exotics left for a different meeting... which then got taken over by imports.

 

I would LOVE for the one here in Fayetteville to be taken over by Exotics!!!

Anyone up for something like that???

Yep.

It was ridiculously awesome for a while. It was very common for guys to swap keys with one another and give each other test drives. I got to get behind the wheel of some serious iron. Dario Franchitti even took a turn behind my NSX.

Then, of course, it became a clown show. I blame the Porsche guys

 

Not that we have all the angles of hosting an event all figured out, but the cycle you are describing is EXACTLY why we started Cars and Cappuccino here in Charlotte - a monthly EUROPEAN ONLY sports car meet up. Our event is always smaller, more focused, more intimate and so far, drama free. When the "other marques" do show up (which is once or twice a year), we have actually had success in getting them to agree to not park in the primary line up and to not act like clowns. And to date, the "dudes abide". To quote one of them; "Cars and Cappuccino is a bunch of older guys with sweet-ass old Porsche's and Ferrari's". He is basically right and we actively work to keep it that way.

So. Is Cary C&C still on for April 5? If so, where and when?

 

Haven't been to cars and coffee since it moved. My son wants to go and I hope to pick up the TR after 4 or 5 months doing upgrades. Where is the new location?

 

I, too, have not been since it moved. Last I recall it is now at Waverly Place in Cary. Sorry as this reply is a bit late for you today.

 

I guess it has closed or moved. There we no cars there around 9:00am.

 

I was in Charlotte over the weekend and did not attend any of the C&C events here. I had not heard anything about cancelling the Cary one, but will try to see if I can find any information about it.

 

There was a big crowd around 8:30, but I did not see any Ferrari's. I just did a cruise through and left.
