New Shamal "re-boot"...just write a check....

Well I hope it doesn't look like that but I'm glad to see Maserati given creative freedom. They can finally come out of their Ferrari shell.

 

Just buy one of the originals. Always was a neat looking car. The driving dynamics were better in a Ghibli II Cup car though. A car which also got the Gandini styling touches with a very potent 2.oL V6 and a bit chassis refinement.

 

these cars will forever have a unique fun factor!

 

Once drove a Shamal on the twisty but very fast circuit of Spa Francochamps in Belgium. The rear suspension of the Shamal was much too soft in fast corners. In tight corners the car was much understeering and the rear of the car went out of balance due to the soft springs. It was hard to catch the rear under that conditions.

 

Walter, I am so envious of you as you have had a chance to drive so many different automobiles and sports cars.
