    I just installed a slick shift gate from Hill Engineering on my 348. It's really great. Now shifting from 1st to 2nd is so much smoother and easier to complete. The improvement in shifting from 1st to 2nd is more than worth the cost of the shift gate. Chech it out! Jim

    I think you are talking about this (click on "Slick Shift Gate.") Intuitively, seems like a good design change.
