When you guys take delivery of a new Fcar from a ferrari dealer do you ask them not to wash or detail the car so as to avoid swirl marks etc?? Thats usually what i do when i buy porsche as the guys don't usually properly detail the cars.

    thanks for any feedback!

I did with mine a couple of years back. I had my own guy come in and do paint correction and coating etc. which he did at the dealership. After that I took delivery. Will do the same for my Aperta when that comes in. I have a very good dealer who understands client satisfaction and a quality buying experience.

DO NOT let the dealer touch your car. I have a standing order with my cars that they never wash or otherwise touch my paint. I have a 458, FF and Speciale on the way that the deal know they are not allowed to touch. I have my own guy for paint correction.

Whenever the dealer comes to pick up my cars for service, I lick my finger and put a mark on my car and they know it better be there when I get it back..

Reminds me of what cops do when they pull someone over. They never know what might happen when they pull someone over, so when they walk up to the car from behind they touch the rear of the car to leave their fingerprints...just in case things go badly.
