Does anybody allready installed this steering wheel? I can receive it with hub and horn button but what will the airbag do? Shall it give problems with the board computer? The guy who sells them told me that only the airbag light will stay on... Any experience with that? Secondly...how can i unscrew the stock wheel? First remove the airbag? Let me know Frans
The holes will line up, but I strongly suspect it will not fit correctly without use of spacer 182537. Airbag light will stay on. Don't tell your insurance company, don't tell your local motor vehicle bureau. I hate the F355 steering wheel too -- but personally would not disable such a critical piece of safety equipment. Others will say airbags are dangerous, etc. etc. I think they save lives. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks.... Will kep thinking of it.... Do you have another option? For example to replace it with a Ferrari steering-wheel with airbag? for example F575? Frans
Actually... it's on the shelf. http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=208766 I don't have the spacer though.... Spacer is $350, with a 6-7 day leadtime.
on the 348, it just bolts on right? spacer is to get rid of the airbag on the 355 if I follow this correctly. This is great... I'm about to take my car today for the 30K service. Assuming nothing bad (read $$$) happens, I might treat my baby to this wheel in sept!
Aw man. You gotta do it now? It's summertime. I'm glad I got mine done before delivery, because no way in heck am I giving up this car long enough for a service during the summer. Bee Jay
The garage queen owners should heed Bee Jay's example....... its 'summer time'........ so that means its 'drive TIME' !!!........................... Hear that Chris????.................................. It the sound of life ticking away.........................
daniel, sorry to switch topics but can you get the original fiorano wheel? What other options do you guys have for 355 steering wheels?
We're waiting on a batch of Euro 1995 wheels, that look absolutely fantastic (without airbag). Another good option is the Stradale wheel + airbag. It's expensive, but you do retain the safety systems and will have an easier resale time because it's genuine Ferrari stuff. http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=262214 + airbag http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=261226 or this one... http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=202552 or... if you want to get totally crazy, check out page 29 of the current CAVALLINO magazine. We've got that one in inventory too.
I dont get cavallino magazine, do you have a picture of the totally crazy one? I really like the first option + airbag...any discounts to fchatters?
ah wise advice, but I am one step ahead of you. I'm about to fly out for 2 weeks vacation next friday and my car will be ready when I get back
damn had I known it was hard to find I would have ordered it today! Let me know if you guys get another one.
I put one in my 348. I got it from the dealer after talking the parts guy into selling it to me. They wanted the VIN number of my 360 challenge car which I do not have. I just put the stock 348 horn pad on as it fit perfectly. Paid $350. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's this one.... shift lights, carbon fiber, etc. etc. How you wire it to a 348 or 355, I have no idea. Yes, it's an Enzo wheel. (for 3x8 folks, not the very rare amber/clear lens in the background ) Image Unavailable, Please Login
