Totally agree, and am thankful that my history with Yahr is limited to some phone calls.
It wouldn't surprise me if he actually got more for the car than the deal he had with you. Rather than directly tell you this and prove he is a prick, he made it sound like he was being a real stand up guy by selling it to a friend for 5% less. This gus does not sound like the type to sell something for less than he can. Sounds like he did you a big favor. Keep looking- that's half the fun! Good luck.
I know John, he is a stand-up guy and I trust his word implicitly. Reading further it looks like Marc has sealed his own fate. I am reminded of a line from "Fletch". "Oh, by the way I put the whole thing on the Underhill's American Express; want the number?"
, thanks Ben. Glad this experience is over and enjoyed the humor in this thread and seeing how exposed and revealed Yahr got. This is, imo, a very good community for the most part and its good to see people speak against dishonesty.
You don't want a car previously owned by someone know as "Yahr Yahr Wank".... everyone would always be saying, "Yeah, that's Wank's old car"...would have been a bit of a bummer to have to deal w/that. Your karma saved you on this one...wasn't to be, which means the "one" will be finding its way to you. Patients Grasshopper....
+1 John, I'm glad everything worked out in the end. Hope you find your CS. If there's one thing I hate it's dishonest people.
