    Hello People:

I'm getting new tires for my 360. Looking at Michelin Pilot Sport ($850 for all 4) or Michelin Pilot Sport )$1076 for 4).

Which would you pick and why? In Michelin worth the extra $226?

    Thanks!

I too have struggled with this decision.
I actually wrote Michelin to ask them why they didn't make PS2's in the stock 360 sizes, and they wrote back, stating: "I'm sorry, but we do not make the PS2's in the standard 360 size". I responded by saying, "You're simply restating the original question. My question is, WHY?". They responded by saying, "I'm sorry, but we do not make the PS2's in the standard 360 size". Morons. For what it's worth, I have the S-02's on my daily driver (1998 Acura CL 3.0) and I can take cloverleafs just about as fast as my 360. These tires have mega grip.
As for my 360, I went ahead and bit the bullet and paid the extra money for the PS1's because the tread looks very cool.

Wondering why you aren't considering the Pirelli Pzero??? My 360 came with them and I went back to them when replacing the tires. The PS2 go by very quick, a very good tire with lots of grip. I used them on my M5. However, I am amazed at the tread life and performance of the Pirelli, much better than the PS2 in my opinion. You can also order the Pirelli thru TireRack.

    Hi,
My car came from the factory with the Bridgestone SO2 tire. I was told by the tire rack that this tire was developed specifically for the 360. They really seemed to feel this was a better choice and they sell Michelin and Pirelli's.

My dealer recommended the Pirelli's. But he admitted that they wear quickly.

I have replaced them once but continued with the Bridgestone. I got about 25K mileage on them.

Oh and I do think that nitrogen inflation is better than air.

I had Pilot sports on my GT3 and loved it. I felt safe to do 155mph at Cal. speedway.

You may wish to re-read and edit your original post. Michelin Pilot Sport vs Michelin Pilot Sport? I know what you meant but you typed the same tire twice.

My car came from the factory with Pilot sports and those are the only tires I would put on it.

I have had both the Pilot Sport and the Bridgstone's on my E055 AMG. Both are great tires but the Bridgestone's take much longer to warm up. And until they do it's like their flat spotted producing a really rough ride.

I replaced my Pilot Sports with the Potenza's and like the Bridgestones better. I thought they gripped better.

I put 19in 430 wheels on my 360 and had always been a Pzero fan but when I went to the new wheels I went to the Bridgestones I really like them.

really depends on the driving you do and the quality you want out from a tire for your car.

Michelin --- very good tire all around.

Bridgestone S02 ---- if not driven enough - they will get brittle and start cracking

if you want to play with some different tires

Falken tires in the sub 200 tread ware catagory
    Yokohama's 038's

I've always liked Bridgestone summer tires and having tried both tires you mention, I didn't notice much of a difference in grip but I did in tread life. The Michelin tires worn down noticeably faster than the Bridgestone.

I will tell you with regards to Bridgestone tires, I have had a couple of tire sperations in the 350Z that they are standard on and that was due to Nur Ring driving status. Also when very hot the tire starts to chunk up and sprawl a part, but this was under very very hard driving track condtion with an ambient of 70F, again it all depends on driving and alignment on the car.

When I switched from Potenzas to PS2s on my 360, I was shocked to see that the PS2s are noticeably narrower despite also being 215 width. TireRack info indeed shows that the PS2s are about 10 mm or a full size narrower in actual tread width than the Potenzas.

    Hi,
How can you switch to PS2`s on your 360, if Michelin does not produce them. Which size did you go?

I've had both on my 360. I couldn't tell the difference between the Michelins or the Bridgestones, when it came to stick. However the Michelins lasted twice as long. 430 has the Italian rubber, and seems to be lasting well.

Didn't like the Pilot Sports on the 360. However, I think the PS2's are perhaps the best street tire on the market. . . unfortunate that they are not available in 360 sizing. I had S02s on another car, and thought they were fantastic. More grip than the PS's IMO, and better transient response. However, they wear faster than the Michelins and wet traction drops off significantly with wear. FWIW.

The Bridgestones on my 360 are the worst tires I've ever run except a set of P Zeros I had on my 348. I junked the Zero's, (fitting name), for a set of Toyo proxies. They were the best tires I've ever run. As soon as these Bridgestones get worn or I get sick of the horrible ride I'm buying a set of Toyo's for the 360. I'd like to try Goodyear F1's but there very expensive and I'd hate to find out that they ride like P Zero's or Bridgestone Potenza's. Anyone had any experience with the Goodyear F1's? The Toyo's are very good. Ride, bite, and wear......excellent and priced right. The Bridgestones and the P Zero's make a Ferrari ride like the Flintstones car in my experience.
