I'm in the process of putting 4 new tires on my 2014 California. Since the car is 9 years old does it make sense to replace the TPM units at the same time? I couldn't find much info on California TPM life expectancy, mostly just issues with F430 systems.

I did see that 458 systems use Ferrari P/N 282189, HUF/Beru RDE011. These are Gen 2 433 Mhz units. Do California's use the same units?

Thanks in advance on any insight.

I had the shop that services my 2014 Cali replace the tires and TPMS sensors. I figured they are 9 years old and don’t want to pull the tires off again if they go bad in the future. I put Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires on the car and here are the sensors we put in.

Rick, California does use the same unit as the 458, Ferrari P/N282189. I replaced all 4 TPM units when I upgraded the 19 inch wheels to a set of 20 inch Diamond cut wheels (It didn’t come with TPM.) with 4 new Michelin PS4 tires. And I bought them from Scuderia USA Car Parts. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks! I will replace the sensors. I am looking at the MP4S tires, I also heard that the new 5S tires are about to be released too.
